Overview

The IT Strategic Planner II performs strategic planning and analytical activities in support of large IT or technical initiatives. This role evaluates complex data sets, supports mission and vision development, and provides structured guidance to align strategic objectives with operational execution and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform strategic planning and analysis for large IT or technical projects or significant segments of complex initiatives.
• Review and analyze large volumes of data to inform strategic decision-making.
• Develop approaches to clarify mission statements and align them with future organizational objectives.
• Assist in development of mission and vision statements.
• Support goal definition and alignment with enterprise strategies.
• Provide guidance in building operational plans and defining measurable performance outcomes.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable implementation frameworks.
• Support documentation and presentation of strategic plans to leadership and stakeholders.
• Evaluate project alignment with long-term organizational objectives.
• Provide analytical insight to inform executive-level planning discussions.

Qualifications

• Approximately four (4) to nine (9) years of experience in strategic planning, IT analysis, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing and analyzing large data sets.
• Experience supporting development of mission, vision, and strategic planning documents.
• Ability to define measurable performance outcomes and operational goals.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to translate strategic concepts into actionable plans.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Business, Management, or related field required;
OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
