Overview

The IT Specialist II supports the implementation, operation, and maintenance of automated IT systems across supported organizations. This role works collaboratively with stakeholders to define requirements and service level agreements (SLAs), diagnose complex technical issues, and develop solutions aligned with established policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT automated systems supporting implementation and operational activities.
• Collaborate with supported organizations to define system requirements and SLAs.
• Analyze and diagnose difficult hardware, software, systems, and workflow problems.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, operating systems, and IT equipment.
• Develop or oversee development of technical work instructions in accordance with policies and approvals.
• Ensure solutions align with organizational standards and compliance requirements.
• Support documentation of system configurations and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with project leadership to resolve technical challenges.
• Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements or corrective actions.
• Report to a project leader or manager.

Qualifications

• More than four (4) years of experience in IT systems support or related field.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex technical and workflow issues.
• Familiarity with defining and managing service level agreements (SLAs).
• Ability to analyze business processes and technical systems interactions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to develop technical documentation and procedural guidance.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required;
OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
