Overview

The Facilitator supports cross-functional teams by guiding structured discussions, workshops, and collaborative sessions to develop information system specifications and functional requirements. This role ensures effective communication among stakeholders, maintains focus on objectives, and drives discussions to clear and actionable conclusions. The position enhances team performance by applying structured facilitation techniques to support organizational and system development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate team meetings and workshops focused on developing information system specifications and functionality.

  • Assist team members in articulating ideas, information, and perspectives effectively.

  • Guide discussions to ensure clarity of requirements, alignment of objectives, and consensus among stakeholders.

  • Maintain meeting structure and focus to ensure efficient use of time and achievement of goals.

  • Ensure discussions are documented and brought to actionable conclusions.

  • Identify and address communication gaps or misunderstandings among participants.

  • Support requirements gathering and documentation activities.

  • Collaborate with program, technical, and business stakeholders to align functional objectives with system capabilities.

  • Prepare facilitation materials, agendas, and supporting documentation.

  • Provide recommendations to improve team collaboration and process effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Approximately six (6) or more years of experience facilitating team discussions, requirements development, or organizational initiatives.

  • Demonstrated experience leading structured workshops and stakeholder meetings.

  • Strong understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC) concepts or business process analysis.

  • Ability to guide diverse stakeholder groups toward consensus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining meeting focus.

  • Experience documenting requirements, outcomes, and action items.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Education

Master’s Degree (MS/MA) in Business, Management, Information Systems, Organizational Development, or related field required;
OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
