Overview

The Receptionist provides front-desk support and visitor services for an office or facility. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring professional representation of the organization while managing routine clerical and communication tasks. The position supports daily operations through call management, visitor coordination, and administrative assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and determine the nature of their visit.

  • Direct visitors to appropriate personnel or meeting locations.

  • Record, screen, and transmit phone messages accurately and professionally.

  • Maintain logs of calls placed and received as required.

  • Provide routine information to callers and visitors.

  • Schedule appointments and coordinate meeting notifications.

  • Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor passes in accordance with security procedures.

  • Monitor front desk area to ensure orderly and professional operations.

  • Perform routine clerical tasks using computer systems and office equipment.

  • Maintain organized records and documentation related to front desk operations.

  • Support additional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Approximately three (3) to eight (8) years of experience in receptionist, front-desk, or customer service roles.

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Professional demeanor and customer-service orientation.

  • Basic proficiency in office software applications and standard office equipment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while interacting with visitors and callers.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

  • Ability to work under general supervision in a structured office environment.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
