Overview

JTAGS' objective is simple: to receive, process and disseminate Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) sensor information on tactical ballistic missile (TBM) launches and other events of interest for warning, alerting and cueing via in-theater tactical and strategic communications networks.

Background

This opportunity is part of a high-impact defense program originally developed for the U.S. Army and now supporting the United States Space Force (USSF). The system receives and processes direct downlinked data from advanced infrared satellite sensors, such as the Defense Support Program (DSP) and Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS), to deliver near-real-time missile warning, alerting, and tactical event data across military communication networks. As part of the program team, you will contribute to mission-critical operations that safeguard national interests and provide strategic defense capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for data management activities.
  • Implement high-level prioritization of requests and communicate schedules to stakeholders, including customers.
  • Create and maintain program data library asset databases.
  • Ensure timely and accurate release of deliverables and program documents.
  • Coordinate with document authors and project managers to ensure deadlines and special handling requirements are met for on-time quality delivery.
  • Provide education on naming conventions and document format standards.
  • Promote consistency in naming conventions and documentation standards across multiple projects.
  • Ensure high-quality program documentation by performing technical editing to comply with deliverable templates.
  • Identify and correct usage errors and edit deliverables for grammar, spelling, and formatting consistency.
  • Create locked working templates for Engineers and Program Managers using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Conduct all aspects of documentation management and data management for multiple projects.
  • Review and report on program data metrics to benchmark effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to upgrading standards and best practice guidelines.
  • Develop and implement review cycle plans, ensuring proper marking of classified documents according to required standards.
  • Facilitate board meetings as needed by keeping notes and making updates based on meeting charter and process documents.
  • Audit test configurations and witness test events
  • Support internal process audits and provide constructive feedback toward process documentation

Qualifications

  1. 6 years of relevant experience
  2. A current/active Secret Clearance at the time of application
  3. In-depth knowledge of data management
  4. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  5. Knowledge and experience in program contract review to determine documentation requirements for each work product and project phase
  6. Experience creating, updating, and self-auditing against process documentation.
  7. Experience in providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees
  8. Strong knowledge and experience in managing documentation libraries
  9. Effective presentation and computer skills, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  10. Ability to work independently under general direction and demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail
  11. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SharePoint Administration.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and communicate effectively within and outside the organization

Education

Bachelor's degree

Advanced degrees in Data Management or related disciplines such as Business Administration or Business Management Preferred

 

Work Location & Hours

  • Location: On-site in Colorado Springs, CO

  • Work Hours: Full-time, standard business hours with occasional after-hours support for mission-critical operations

 

Compensation

Compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications, ranging from $100k-$155k
